| BEAR BOOKS |
| Dear Parents, In our classroom we will use notebooks as a system of organizing home papers, homework, etc. We call them our "BEAR Books." This system will include a 3-ring binder notebook that I will put together for each child that will house EVERYTHING that your child and you need to keep up with what is going on at school. No more wrinkled papers in the bottom of the backpacks. No more lost notes, newsletters or calendars. No more searching the house to find paper to write me a note. Everything will be in one notebook! You may purchase a 3-ring binder for your child or donate 2-3 dollars and I will purchase the notebook. Why are they important? These notebooks will help the students establish good organizational skills - skills that can carry on throughout their time in school. What will be included in the notebook? 1. A zipped pencil pouch will be in the front of each bear book to hold lunch money or "beary important notes." 2. A two pocket folder. One side will will hold homework or important papers that need to be returned to school. The other side will hold the papers that the children did during the day and should be kept at home and not returned to school. 3. A class list. 4. A poetry section. 5. A section for the School/Parent Handbook. 6. A Family/Teacher Communications sheet. 7. Notebook paper for two-way communication. B.E.A.R. is an acronym for Bring Everything Always Ready. The children will bring home their BEAR books everyday and should be returned everyday!! Thank you, Mrs. Lynch |
