We began our unit by reading several Christmas stories
with elves.
We then made life-sized elves. I used the school's
digital camera and printed only the children's faces.

During this unit we also talked about our five senses.

We concluded our unit with a "Little Elf Tasting Party." The
children made elf hats and made and tasted cheese horn
snacks, little elf party mix, and mini-bagel wreaths. We ate
our snacks on tiny plastic dishes that the children brought
from home.
