1. We begin our farm unit with a KWL chart or sometimes
I do a web with FARM written in the center circle.   We
write down all the things we know about the farm.
3. We read and then act our Mrs. Wishy Washy.   We
make muddy pigs and we also make mud pudding. (see
below)
Recipe for mud pudding:
1 large box of instant chocolate pudding
3 cups of cold milk
chocolate cookie crumbs
6 gummi worms

Mix the chocolate pudding with the milk.  Pour into a large jar and shake.  The pudding
will soon form.  Spoon the pudding into 5 small bowls.  Crumble 1 chocolate cookie into
each bowl. Add a gummi worm on top.    (Makes 6 servings)
2.  We make an ABC farm  book.  Each child illustrates a
page of the book.
A is for Apple
B is for Barn
C is for Cow
and so on...
4.  We make a mural of Old MacDonald's Farm. (see below)
1. Farm Animal Patterns

2. Graph Favorite Farm Animal
5. We create farm animal patterns and graph our favorite
