Step Four
Visit the fossil sites, look through the books
about fossils, and then write about fossils.
Explain how they are formed and what we can
learn from fossils.
It is very rare, but scientists have found fossils of bird
feathers and dinosaur skin. Usually only the hard parts of an
animal, like teeth, bones and shells, become fossilized.
In the classroom, look through the three books
below or any of the other dinosaur books in the book
basket to find out more about fossils before writing
your paragraph.
